Ask Kassie

February 2008

1. I have been watching you for years on OLTL. Sure wish James was back too!
Anyway,I think you are multi-talented & have a great voice. I will check your CDs out.
I had 2 questions:

A. How do you get your hair to curl under like that?

KDP: I blow it dry ...then I use a flat iron on it.

B. Are you like Blair in ANY way?

KDP: I'm funny.

You are a real powerhouse. God bless you and your little family.
Keep up the good work! N.Y.

2. I watch you on OLTL and think you are wonderful as Blair.I love your current haircut and want to get one like yours. What do I ask for with the hairstylist? Other than bringing your picture with me, I don't know what to ask for.Your hair looks awesome, along with the rest of you.
Hoping you can help me.
Thanks. Kathleen R.Kennedy

KDP: Tell them to watch the show.

3. Kas,
How do you keep your teeth so white? Do you get them whitened or use strips or something. I brush my teeth all the time but they still are not as white as I would like.
Thanks, -Nicole A.

KDP: My teeth are not white at all. I need to bleach them... but it hurts my gums. I also drink coffee and red wine... so that's not helpful.

4. Hi,
Love your hair, but do you use Jolen regular, mild, or with aloe. Also do you wash and condition when done or just rinse and condition?
Thank you in advance, Ann

KDP: Regular. Wash and condition

5. Hey Kassie,
For years Blair always had to treat her mother like a child, and now everything has changed, what kind of relationship do you think Blair wants with new and improved Addie?
Lucy

KDP: The one she never had.

6. Hello Kassie just want to say your great on OLTL. I was wondering about the round silver ring you wear on the show? I love it and wondered what who the designer is.
Thanks Jackie

KDP: It is a John Hardy knock off. I bought it here in the city and if I find it again I'll buy a bunch and sell them on the site.

7. Hi! Question: Where can I buy that jacket/coat you were wearing on the show? (it is a beautiful tan leather (I believe) with faux fur collar (lion? tiger?, I dunno), JUST loved it
You have the GREATEST clothes on that show! I always admire your style.
Thanks, Peggy Dougan

KDP: I don't know what jacket that is. I love the way Susan Gammie Dresses me.

8. I love your new CD. Will there be a music dvd also comming out. I also love you on the show, when are you going back to the super short hair. You went from long to med to short in the past.
Chris Walter

KDP: I'm going to let it grow long again...if I can. I just don't want to look old.

9. Over the last year, you have had more scenes with Michael Easton, and you guys really seem to have the comedy vibe going on in your scenes together. I s the vibe scripted or you & Michael?

KDP: He is fun to work with. We try to find moments.

10. If you could have a role on any primtime show, then what show would you want to be on?

KDP: Maybe Boston Legal.

]

11. Blair seems to have matured in terms of her behavior, are you happy with the change or do you miss the reckless self destructive she-devil?

KDP: You never know what your are going to get. Someone has to be the grown up in the group.

12. Hello and Good Morning Kassie,
I just finished watching the Lifetime Movie, "Sam & Janet" ... I am convinced that I heard you singing in at least 3 songs on that soundtrack. Am I right? I was unable to read the credits (too fast), so then I headed to the computer for answers. I searched on Google and now your website. I was unable to find any info that credits you for songs in this movie.
Respectfully, Judy Procell
PS. I loaned my oldest daughter (14 yrs) my copy of "No Regrets", since she enjoys Country Music ... well, she hasn't given it back!

KDP: No that was not me. I wish.

13. Hello, I think you are an outstanding singer and actress. I believe you and Todd is what keeps the show interesting. I was wondering if you ever thought of returning to Kentucky to do a concert? I would be there front and center.
Thanks, Misty Peavey - KY

KDP: Thanks... If that happens I'll let you know.

14. Hello. Let me first say that I am a big fan of yours. You have a wonderful voice and play the tar out of Blair. LOL. I have a question. How do you keep your hair looking so smooth? I have a similar hair cut and I have little frizzies.
Thanks...Lisa Wells - TX

KDP: I use a straightening iron on my hair after I blow it dry.

15. Hi and thanks for the “How Kassie colors her hair” page. I only have one question about the process – maybe you could add one more ‘step’…You don’t use foil – but what do you do with the strand once the bleach is applied ??? Do you keep it separate from other hair somehow, or allow it to lay down against other non-treated hair for the 10 minute processing time? How about a short video of your process?
Thanks, Wendy

KDP: I just lightly lay them on top of the others.

16 .Lord, but I hope you will answer this. I went nuts when I saw the View that day and you mentioned your hair process, because I've been trying to find some way to get your pjoto to take in to my stylist.

How do you apply it? Cream the Jolen down a strand of hair? Do you use foil or waxed paper or anything? It doesn't bleed through? I'm asking because I've been trying to get these stlyists in Seattle to color my hair like it was in California, very similar to yours, and they keep coloring without the definition I want between light and dark-- too monochromatic. I hate the thought of flying to California for my hair every 8 weeks.

Bless you for offering to give out your process. (And I hope your mother didn't kill you.)
Best, Jill Barnett

KDP: Maybe you should have low lights put in you r hair. I don't use foil I just paint it on.
